WEEK 3 - Introductions/Chapter 3 - Going to School

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to our new course "Civics Education for the 21st Century"!

In this course, we will have weekly discussions.  Here is your first discussion assignment:

1)  Introduce yourself to your classmates and the instructor.
(Tell us your name and share something interesting about you.)

2)  This week we are doing Chapter 3 - Going to School.  Please answer the following questions:

What is your favorite subject? 

What do you think about the NC public school system?  Do you think we have good public schools?  Why or why not?

Please share anything else you would like to comment with the class.  Thank You!!

    Hello my name is oscar rubio. I live in middlesex i'm single. I like going to the park to play basquetball,soccer. I like dancing ,going to movies. I like watching tv comedy programs.

    My favorite subject is learn inglish
    About the nc public school. I think it is a good sistem why have a very good teachers.

    Hello my name is Maribel Aguilar Garcia. I live in Wilson Nc, i'm married i have three beautiful children. Student of inglish class as a second lenguage, my interest is to learn to speak,read and write inglish. The issue of education is very interesting to me, i like the public school system.
    Public school have what is take for children to attend and learn for a better future. There are good teachers.

    Yes, the issue of education is very interesting.
    Education is very important today in order to have higher-paying jobs and a better future.

    My name is Manaces Flores I live in Wilson N.C.I have a wife and have 5 great children.I speak 2 kind of language Inglish and Spanish.I also have good job,I get the money i need. I attend a school with a terrific teacher and I really like the great education.It means alot to me for my terrific teacher to teach me.Education is an important thing in life.I would not be here if I didn't get it.Everybody need to get education.I learn to speak,read,write,and talk Inglish.I thank my teacher for working hard and giving me the education I need.Thank you.:)

      Great introduction! I am glad that you like the class and that you are trying very hard to learn the English language. It is important to know English so that you can communicate with Americans, and to get better paying jobs in the United States.

      I will do my best to help you in class.
